Just For Fun Hockey
YMCA instructors allow each child to learn at his/her own pace. All programs are fully inclusive.
CSA or equivalent helmet WITH CAGE is mandatory for hockey programs.
Registration for our Hockey programs is closed for the season.
The next session begins October 2012 - check back again soon for registration dates.
Tiny Tots Hockey (4-5 years)
Children must be able to glide unassisted. Full gear is not necessary (just helmet, skates and stick).

3 on 3 Pond Hockey (7-10 years)
This program is designed to be a fun non-competitive recreational 3 on 3 pond hockey league. Please register as individuals and participants will be divided into teams prior to the first ice session. Full equipment is required. All participants are welcome; however, it is strongly recommended that they have played ice hockey and/or attended the Just For Fun Hockey program prior to registering as this is not a skill development program.
The first 30 minutes (3:15pm - 3:45pm) of this class will be used for free ice time; practicing, warm up, etc. The last hour (3:45pm - 4:45pm) will be a 3 on 3 hockey game. We will run 2 lines, alternating, a 7 years - 8 year old line and a 9 years - 10 year old line.
