Today marks the launch of the Family YMCA of Prince George’s Strong Kids Campaign. - February 2012
This annual campaign runs from February 15 – March 15 and raises public awareness and financial support for the work that local YMCAs do in providing children and families with the values and life skills they need to succeed. Read more here!

Celebrate National Child's Day with the YMCA - November 2011
As the largest provider of child care in Prince George, we are hosting the 2nd annual National Child’s Day celebration!
Saturday, November 19th
11:30am – 3:00pm
At the YMCA on Massey Drive
We will have activities, games, snacks and more!
The Family YMCA of Prince George is pleased to announce exciting renovations to our Lobby, Main Floor Fitness Area and Early Learning Centre (ELC) at our Massey Drive facility - November 2011
Renovations will include an expanded Membership Services Desk and installation of entry and exit turnstiles. The Early Learning Centre is adding twelve new infant toddler spaces – those improvements include new paint, furniture and nap room.
Construction in both areas begins Monday, November 21. The Lobby should be complete by December 31 and ELC by mid-February 2012.
Prepping for construction begins Monday, November 14 and the Main Floor Fitness Area will be off-limits.
On November 18th, facility access will be re-located to the door located at the north end of the building and upper level parking will also be affected.
Members will be given as much advance notice as possible on limited access and disruptions. Thank you for your patience while we renovate to serve you better!

2nd ANNUAL Y CHAMPIONS HOCKEY WEEKEND SOLD OUT! - September 2011
The Y Champions Hockey Weekend is ready to go! The weekend kicks off on Friday, September 30th with an on-ice hockey session led by three-time Olympic Gold Medalist Jennifer Botterill. Read more here.
The YMCA at the Cougars Game! - September 2011
Join the YMCA at the Cougars home opener Friday, September 30th! We will be handing out 1 week family passes, brochures, and greeting all hockey game attendants! Keep your eye out for us out on the ice...

The YMCA will be on site at the Spruce Kings Home Opener on Friday, September 23rd! We will be handing out brochures, answering questions, demo-ing programs, and handing out coupons! Don't miss it!
Sports Day in Canada - September 2011
Saturday, September 17th is National Sports Day in Canada and to celebrate we are offering a 10% discount on recreational program registration! The facility will also be free to those wanting to drop in and access the open gymnasium or the fitness floor. Spread the word and join us Saturday!
Y Champions Hockey Weekend - September 2011
The Y Champions Hockey Weekend returns this fall bringing together members of the Prince George community to play hockey, be inspired, network, and most importantly raise funds to support the YMCA’s Strong Kids Fund.

Thanks to everyone who supported our first ever Strong Kids campaign! We raised enough funds to send 47 lucky Prince George kids to camp!
Warm Hearts Youth Lounge - February 2011
Mark Miller, Family YMCA of Prince George CEO accepted a $5,000 donation from Pat Flack on behalf of the Terasen Gas employee-supported Warm Hearts Charitable Foundation. Funds will be directed to purchase equipment and supplies for the REC Room. Click here for photo.
