NOTICE TO MEMBERS
The Childminding Room will be CLOSED on the evening of May 28th.
It will then be temporarily re-located to the All-Purpose Room from May 29th - June 1.
We are doing renovations to Childminding so please be aware there may be paint fumes.
The Childminding Room will re-open on Saturday, June 2.
The Strong Kids Campaign has wrapped up
After a month of campaigning by the Family YMCA staff and volunteers, the second annual Strong Kids campaign has officially wrapped, exceeding its goal of sending sixty children to Camp Kanannaq. Read more here...
5th Annual Healthy Kids Day
On June 3, 2012, the Family YMCA will join YMCAs across Canada in hosting YMCA Healthy Kids Day. This free community event will focus on fun and engaging activities, practical information and simple ways to be healthier in spirit, mind and body. Read more here...
Canadian Tire Returns are Road Race Sponsor
The Family YMCA of Prince George is pleased to announce that Canadian Tire is returning for a second year as the Presenting Sponsor of the Annual Road Race. “We are thrilled to have Canadian Tire’s continued support for this race, says Mark Miller, YMCA CEO. With approximately 500 runners participating every year, it really marks the kick off to summer running in our community.” Read more here...

YMCA Healthy Kids Day & Road Race 2012
SUNDAY, JUNE 3, 2012
YMCA Healthy Kids Day 2011 was host to over 110 marathon runners. YMCA Road Race saw over 400 racers complete a BC sanctioned race. Most importantly, an estimated 1,500 participants took part in the healthy and engaging activities associated with the YMCA of Prince George!
Y Champions Hockey Weekend 2012
The Y Champions Hockey Weekend 2010 earmarked our first YMCA fundraiser and it was an incredible success! The two day event combined the sophistication of a banquet evening with the inspiring Trevor Linden with a hockey tournament, silent auction, great door prizes, gift bags and more. And the event was a success. In 2011, we welcomed special guests Ryan Walter and Jennifer Botterill who generously shared their hockey and leadership experience with everyone they met!
Funds raised have gone to support YMCA programs such as Camp Kanannaq, Simon Fraser Lodge and Youth Around Prince (YAP).
