Licensed Preschool & Neighborhood Scholars

Why is Preschool important?

Did you know that 30% of children in BC enter kindergarten unprepared? This vulnerability affects them all through their early school years.

It is a fact among childhood experts that children are much better prepared for Kindergarten - and later life - if they attend a high quality Preschool program. "Preschool" is essentially an early-childhood educational class for 3- and 4-year-olds. There, they are exposed to a variety of enriching experiences including socialization and education about numbers, letters and shapes. The group environment allows children to build valuable skills that will transfer to all aspects of their lives, such as sharing, confidence, creativity and problem solving. Methods of exploration, experimentation and conversation help fuel these acts of learning.

Not all children require a full day of care but will still benefit from participating in an early childhood developmental program. Preschool is the perfect solution - take advantage of our 2.5 hour sessions two or three times a week! If you want to learn more about the Playing to Learn program, click here.
